Straightening shampoo didn't work?

I just bought Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Shampoo and Conditioner and followed the directions exactly, I even used the shampoo twice like it said. but...I just got out of the shower and it didn't work. my hair is curly...still. should I give up? will it dry straight? help!!
