Go Pro HD surf hero camera?

hello im thinking about buying the go pro hd but have a few questions. it comes with a waterproof housing correct? and can i use the camera handheld with a wristband? and for the mount do you drill a hole into the board? i heard the suction cup isnt to strong. ive watched a video and the dude was surfing and the camera fell off on the video!
