You cant use them but I know that that wandering kajit you see outside the cities sometimes and tells you a random fact collects calipers. and if your on the xbox you can hold the items by pressing the right trigger on. bones are useful because you can store items in them and then carry the bones around so its a simple way to cheat the system if you maxed out your weight.
