For 2 homes equal in every way, except 1 has full brick and the other brick veneer, which is better?
Brick has more insulating power, so the utilities may be more reasonable. But that also depends on how each home was insulated. Also, sound will not travel into the house as easily. I would think the maintenance would be about the same either way. Brick may have a ever so slightly higher resale value, but probably not much. The age of the home, the condition, the square footage, the age of the mechanicals and plumbing, and the location are more important to re-sale value. Homes on busy roads or high traffic or noisy areas tend not to sell as well. I can't imagine that the homes are EXACTLY equal in every way except for the brick. One has to have a better location, layout, condition, age or something.
