Roommate has strep throat !?!?

I just had strep throat twice this year, once in January and once in March. My roommate just got diagnosed with it today, and I'm super stressed/scared about possibly contracting it again. Can I get it again this soon?? How can I avoid getting it again, other that disinfecting everything in the apartment?? helpp
