Need advanced help with Kenmore water softener?

I can't help you with this problem but I would like to give you some advice. Don't buy water softeners from the store. My uncle worked for Culligan for 35 years and now himself for the last 20 and he says the kind you can buy at a store are no good. I believe him because I have had the same softener he installed 20 years ago and have had no issues except for remembering to put salt in it. I am not saying to call a water softener company but if you end up buying a new one check with a plumbing supply store. I would hate to see you spending more money trying to fix the Kenmore.
